A noodle-chain operator's new-platform launch story

Order before arriving — no paper stamps needed.A dining experience shared across 100 stores.

NoodleHub is a membership app for noodle chains with 100+ stores nationwide. It unifies advance mobile ordering, store-wide digital stamps, personalized coupons based on past orders, and per-store chat — cutting wait times while lifting repeat rates.

To resolve “long peak-time waits, paper-stamp management, poster-dependent coupon delivery, and shallow customer understanding,” A noodle-chain operator — built in-house from scratch in 12 months.

CLIENT
About the customer

A chain operating 100+ stores nationwide, “A noodle-chain operator”.

A Japanese fast-casual concept centered on soba and udon, operating 100+ stores across station fronts, business districts, and suburbs. Balancing peak-time turnover with customer repeat rate is the key to business growth.

Traditionally, ordering at the register, paper stamp cards, and in-store poster coupons were the norm. Peak-time in-store ordering congestion and a lack of insight into repeat customers' preferences limited the sales opportunity per store.

CHALLENGE
Design challenges to solve

Four design challenges to grow repeat rate and store sales.

Customers drop off while waiting to order at peak times
With in-store ordering concentrated from 12–1 PM, 15-min average wait, peak sales opportunities are lost.
Paper-stamp management cost and declining loyalty
With loss and forgetting, Missed stamp grants at visit time, undermining long-term members' motivation to stay.
Coupon delivery relies on in-store posters
Can only reach customers in store, Can't drive return visits during no-visit periods.
Repeat customers' preferences aren't captured by stores or HQ
With shallow customer understanding, Can't run personalized campaigns, differentiation from competitors is hard.

ARCHITECTURE
The architecture we built together

Ordering, loyalty, personalization, and customer dialogue on one platform.

We built three products in-house — a mobile app (React Native), a head-office CMS (React), and a shared API (TypeScript Node) — with personalized push via Firebase FCM and instant 'usual order' restore powered by Redis.

Improved repeat rate
Drive return visits with one-tap 'usual' reordering and personalized coupons.
Deeper customer understanding at HQ
Analyze order-history data in the head-office CMS to drive new menu development and store-specific initiatives.
Lower paper costs and operational effort
Cut paper-stamp and printing costs and the effort of reissuing them.
