Contract-Development Firm — Platform Build Story

Scattered internal tools, unified into one integrated platform.

TeamFlow Suite is an enterprise integrated business-management SaaS that brings internal operations — HR, project management, sales, accounting, QA and hiring — from Excel and siloed tools into a single platform. Over 30 business modules link through one database so every employee runs their work from the same screen.

'Scattered tools, Excel-based effort tallying, missing data linkage, manual hiring tracking' — the launch story of a new platform, built in-house from scratch in 18 months to satisfy all four axes of internal operations at once.

CLIENT
About the client

A leading domestic contract-development firm at the forefront of the industry.

The contract-development firm takes on large-scale system development for multiple client companies. With over 100 engineers, PMs, sales, QA and HR staff in-house, each department ran its work on different tools (Excel, SaaS, spreadsheets). Data was scattered, the linkage between effort, evaluation and hiring was lost, and month-end tallying and evaluation meetings demanded enormous manual work.

Aiming for 'every employee running their work from the same screen,' we built an in-house integrated business-management SaaS. Over 30 modules — HR, project management, sales & accounting, QA, hiring — are linked through one database, with role-based access control delivering a UI optimized for each department.

CHALLENGE
Design challenges to solve

The four structural requirements demanded of the platform.

None of these are technology-choice problems — they are business requirements tied directly to operational efficiency, cross-department integration, data consistency and extensibility. A from-scratch build had to satisfy all of them at once.

① Leave tools scattered and data linkage is lost forever

If attendance lives in Excel, effort in SaaS and evaluations in yet another tool, projects, HR and accounting stay disconnected — and that becomes the permanent state.

② Keep running monthly Excel tallying and productivity stalls

Tally attendance → effort → evaluation data in Excel at month-end and the first days of each month are lost to clerical work.

③ Bolt on role permissions later and security holes remain

Payroll, evaluation and customer data in a state visible to every employee leaves the company unable to operate sustainably. Department-level RBAC is needed from day one.

④ A design that makes adding modules hard halts operational growth

When every new business function (new department, new evaluation system) demands schema rework and full-feature regression — operations ossify.

ARCHITECTURE
The architecture we built together

Turning internal operations into an unstoppable platform across four domains.

We built, in-house and from scratch, an integrated business-management platform to support the contract-development firm's internal operations. Four structural requirements — a unified data platform, module extensibility, role permissions and UI integration — were each designed together with Amela into an architecture that achieves operational efficiency, cross-department linkage and security all at once.

Domain ①
Unified data platform
Challenge
Leaving tools scattered means data linkage is lost forever.
Solution
All company operations consolidated into one MySQL database
With Knex + Objection ORM, 30+ modules reference the same database, guaranteeing cross-department linkage
Domain ②
Module extensibility
Challenge
A design that makes adding modules hard stops operational expansion.
Solution
Express module-separation design
Each business module is split into an independent router, so adding a new module causes no regression to other features
Domain ③
Role permissions
Challenge
Implementing role permissions as an afterthought leaves security holes.
Solution
JWT + role-based RBAC enforced on every API
6+ roles (employee/PM/HR/sales/accounting/admin) defined centrally; every API checked in middleware
Domain ④
UI integration
Challenge
Keep running monthly Excel tallying and productivity will not grow.
Solution
Large-scale grids handled with React + Material-UI + DevExpress Grid
Renders large datasets — attendance, WOs, candidates — in fast grids, with real-time visualization via Highcharts
TECH STACK
Frontend

IMPACT
The value the platform creates

The contract-development firm's operational efficiency accelerates.

This platform delivers business outcomes continuously — reduced operating hours, data consistency and cross-department integration — not just technical metrics.

① A platform that compresses operating hours

Month-end tallying, approval workflows and evaluation entry converge on one platform, sharply cutting the monthly Excel tallying effort.

② Design that guarantees data consistency

Consolidating into one database keeps attendance × effort × evaluation always consistent.

③ An architecture that achieves cross-department linkage

Effort a PM sees auto-links to HR's evaluation entries and accounting's invoicing.

④ A design that lets you focus on extension

New operations (a new evaluation system, a new department) ship to production by adding just an independent router.
