TakumiCloud is a multi-tenant operations cloud that unifies the on-site work of construction and skilled-trade businesses. It supports operators with multiple sites and dozens of workers end-to-end — from clock-in/out and photo daily reports to payroll, cost, billing, and management visibility.

On-site mobile input, automatic aggregation, payroll, and per-site profitability — the story of launching a new platform, built in-house from scratch in 18 months, that satisfies the four axes essential to construction operations all at once.

CLIENT
About the client

Takara Komuten Group — a leading domestic player driving the construction and skilled-trades industry.

Takara Komuten Group is a construction operator handling multiple specialized trades such as interior finishing, facilities, and painting. Dozens of workers are constantly deployed across multiple sites throughout the city. It has continuously grown its business while sustaining on-site speed and quality.

At the core of the business model is per-site profitability. Accurately grasping each site's staffing, cost, and revenue is the key to generating profit. Meanwhile, because the sites and the office are physically apart, attendance, daily reports, payroll, and billing data tend to become fragmented — a structural challenge they faced.

CHALLENGE
Design challenges to solve

The four structural requirements demanded of the platform.

None of these were technology-selection problems, but business requirements tied directly to on-site productivity, payroll accuracy, and profitability transparency. A greenfield build required a design that made all of them hold true at once.

Without a mechanism to accurately collect on-site attendance and daily reports
Rely on paper and chat, and transcription errors and rework become the norm. Site and office data remain fragmented.
Without automating payroll
Because allowances, insurance, and overtime differ by worker, with manual calculation, key-person dependence and errors arise, and month-end processing gets strained.
Without seeing per-site cost and revenue instantly
If profitability tracking relies on monthly aggregation, detection of loss-making sites is delayed, and management decisions fall behind.
Get the design that connects attendance, payroll, and billing wrong, and
If tools stay fragmented, double entry and transcription errors pile up, and valuable site data goes to waste.
