StrideClub is a running SNS app for runners that brings GPS run tracking, wearable sync, guilds (teams), and gamification together into one. A platform connecting three parties — runners, guilds, and operators.
Run tracking, peer connection, habit-forming support, monetization — the story of launching a new platform that satisfies all four axes essential to the running experience at once, built in-house from zero in 8 months.
RunWell Japan operates a running SNS platform that connects runners nationwide. From GPS run tracking to run-photo sharing and building connections through guilds (teams), everything is delivered in a single app.
The business model centers on premium membership billing driven by runners' continued use, with engagement designed around missions and rewards. Run records and a coin economy connect runners and their peers in a cycle — a two-sided platform.
None of these were a matter of technology choice — they were business requirements tied directly to runner retention, community building, profitability, and operational efficiency. Building new from zero required a design that makes them all work at once.
We built in-house from zero an experience where runners' recording, connecting, challenging, and continuing flow seamlessly as one. By designing the mobile app and shared platform as a single whole, we make all four domains work simultaneously.

This foundation continuously produces business outcomes — not technical metrics — such as runner retention, a more active community, and improved profitability.
