The client launched a platform to expand their buyback (reuse) business for watches, luxury goods and more — from a store-centric model to one completed entirely on a smartphone. The goal was to let users sell easily from home, with transparent appraisals and fast payouts.
The key to success is “Convincing in-app appraisal × legally compliant identity verification × fast cash-out”. Appraisal, contract, identity verification, shipping and payout had to be designed as one — an experience where people can sell with confidence without going to a store.
