Fax, phone, and Excel ordering,Digitalized from scratch

OrderBridge is a transaction platform that unifies B2B ordering for wholesale and distribution (ordering, order confirmation, delivery, invoicing) into a single screen. It brings together partner, item, and unit-price masters, CSV import/export (EDI), and core-system (kintone) integration in one place.

Unified ordering, fewer input errors, no double entry, and core-system integration — the story of launching a new platform, built in-house from scratch in 8 months around the four axes distribution trading requires.

CLIENT
About the client

Tsunagu Distribution Co., Ltd., one of Japan's leading players supporting distribution trade.

Tsunagu Distribution Co., Ltd. is a business handling B2B ordering that connects wholesalers and retailers. It exchanges a large volume of orders, order confirmations, deliveries, and invoices with many partners every day — but much of it relied on fax, phone, and Excel.

OrderBridge consolidates these transactions into a single screen, integrating master data management for items, partners, and unit prices, CSV import/export (EDI), and core-system (kintone) integration. We built it as a transaction platform that digitalizes ordering operations from 0 to 1.

CHALLENGE
Design challenges to solve

The four structural requirements demanded of the transaction platform.

None of these were technology-choice problems — they were business requirements tied directly to transaction speed, data quality, operational efficiency, and core-system consistency. A greenfield build required a design that satisfied all of them at once.

If ordering isn't unified, transactions stall

Scattered across fax, phone, and Excel,Missed checks & delaysoccurs, straining partner support.

If masters aren't organized, data quality breaks down

If items, partners, and unit prices are inconsistent,Pricing errors and billing mistakesleads to it.

If data exchange is manual, operations stop

Reconciling manually per partner,Re-keying errors & overtimebecome the norm.

Disconnected from the core system, double entry occurs

Managed separately from kintone,The same entry twiceand consistency breaks down.

ARCHITECTURE
The architecture we built together

Turning ordering into a platform that never stops, across four domains.

Unified ordering, master data management, CSV import/export (EDI), and core-system integration — we built these four domains from scratch, in-house, together with Tsunagu Distribution Co., Ltd. By embedding CSV-based data exchange and kintone integration, we digitalized operations without disrupting existing partner workflows.
