No dedicated app, no account barriers — just share a URL and toast with your friends. That’s the experience we set out to create.
The key was removing the friction of existing meeting tools and designing an experience unique to a drinking party.
Just a browser — the design had to run on it while eliminating app downloads and account creation.
Delivering group video calls without interruption demanded a real-time streaming backbone.
Privacy-friendly virtual backgrounds and blur had to be delivered right in the browser.
Turning a room into a single URL — one you just send to join — was essential.
With WebRTC at its core, we built an online nomikai platform that runs on the browser alone — from scratch, in-house, together with Amela. Real-time streaming, AI backgrounds, URL invites, and chat come together as one smooth experience.
