Members search for and follow others, sharing everyday life through posts and a timeline. With promising matches they chat in real time and complete everything from booking a date to payment inside the app. The operations team safeguards community health through report handling and identity-verification review.
None of these were technology-selection problems; they were business requirements tied directly to trust, immediacy, secure payment, and sound operations. Building from scratch, we needed a design that satisfies all of them at once.
If impersonation and fraudulent sign-ups are allowed, the entire community trust collapses at once. Making verification mandatory and embedding it in operations was the prerequisite.
If messages are delayed or undelivered, the rhythm of conversation breaks and users churn. We needed to design an always-on platform that delivers instantly.
If booking through payment cannot be completed cashless, money disputes between users easily arise. A design that closes the loop safely via in-app points and payments was required.
If the report-handling and review workflow is misdesigned, removal of inappropriate posts and users falls behind. A moderation infrastructure that lets the operations team decide quickly was essential.
