They wanted an e-learning foundation designed from scratch that would deliver large training videos reliably, keep material and learners separated per organisation, and make progress visible. Off-the-shelf tools could not handle large video, multiple organisations and progress analysis at once.

We want large training videos delivered reliablyUploading and converting videos of hundreds of MB was the hard part
-
We want material and learners separated per organisationAccess control across multiple organisations was needed
-
We want progress and comprehension made visibleProgress and evaluation data sat apart
-
We want material classified and searchable in a structured waySearch across genre, category and tags
Large videos are delivered reliably through chunked upload, FFmpeg conversion and S3. Per-organisation RBAC (spatie/permission) controls access, ContentProgress shows how far each learner has got and ContentEvaluate shows how well they understood. Genre, category and tags plus full-text search cover the material. Laravel powers a single admin console for running it all.
