Bloomly is a flower-gift store you can shop by purpose & occasion. It delivers several hundred seasonal arrangements, with message cards, to tables and recipients across the country.
A story of launching a new platform: an in-house build on EC-CUBE 4, created from scratch in 7 months, that simultaneously satisfies the four axes a gift EC needs — occasion-based gift experience, gift delivery, repeat-purchase promotion, and visibility into store operations.
Hanakotoba Co., Ltd. is a business that offers flower gifts for the many occasions of life — birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, condolences, and more. With the quality of arrangements crafted one by one by florists as its strength, it delivers flowers nationwide.
As we expanded sales from a store-centric model to online, we needed a shopping experience where customers could "choose by occasion," "send with a message card," and "come back on anniversaries." We built an in-house EC store on EC-CUBE 4 that unifies product search, gift delivery, repeat-purchase promotion, and sales analytics.
None of these were technology-selection issues; they were business requirements tied directly to the gifting experience, repeat purchases, and store operations. A from-scratch new build required a design that made them all hold together at once.
We built the four domains — occasion-based gift experience, gift delivery, repeat-purchase promotion, and store operations — by customizing around EC-CUBE 4 at the core. Building on an OSS foundation let us focus on crafting the gift and repeat features instead of rebuilding cart and payment.

This foundation is not a technical metric; it continuously generates business outcomes such as greater gifting satisfaction, more repeat purchases, and improved operational efficiency.
